Text Box: Mom’s Day
Thurs May 6th and Fri May 7th we would like to have the moms join us for all or part of the day. The children will be making you pasta salad for snack so you will not need to bring a snack. This is a great opportunity for you to come and spend a special day with your child at Sparkleberry’s! Please make arrangements for siblings if possible, to make for a more enjoyable day with your child.

Text Box: Potluck Picnic
Back by popular demand—we will be doing our Potluck Picnic again. This is the day where your child will bring in a snack to share with the class. So on Thursday May 20th & Friday May 21st please send in a snack that your child would like to share. Use your imagination! We always have lots of food, so you only need to send in enough for half the class. PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN ANY NUTS OR PEANUT BUTTER!! Thank you!
Text Box: SUMMER CAMP
We still have some openings for our summer camps. Summer camp is a great way to keep your kids involved with friends and in the routine of school so they are ready for school in September! Sign up today!
Text Box: Bugs/Bees Burfoot Park Field Trip
On Thurs May 27, we are combining classes and going to Burfoot Park in Olympia. We will meet at the upper park (by the play structure) at 12:00 noon for a picnic lunch. (We have directions if you need them.) Then we will walk down to the water where we will be able to see lots of wonderful sea life. Please bring a picnic lunch for you and your family. Dress for being around water and for the weather. We go rain or shine! This is a good time to talk with other parents and enjoy a beautiful afternoon with your child. If you can not go with your child and he/she needs a ride to the park please call and let us know. If we do not hear from you, we will see you at the park!
Text Box: Birds/Bears Pioneer Farm Field Trip
On Wed May 26th we will be combining classes and going to Pioneer Farm near Eatonville. This is a wonderful place for the children to get an idea how the pioneers lived. We will need a lot of parent helpers and drivers to volunteer. Please meet at school at 10:10am. We will be back between 2:30 - 2:45 pm. The cost is $6.00 per child and $6.00 per adult. Please send it in an envelope with your child’s name on it before Fri May 21st. You will need to pack a sack lunch for you and your child. Dress for the weather!
No siblings please.
If your child is NOT going please let us know!
Text Box: Back Yard Circus
Our annual Backyard Circus will be on Tues. June 1st for the Bugs and Bees at 6:00 p.m. and on Wed June 2nd for the Birds and Bears also at 6:00 p.m. We will begin to have your child choose what they want to be in the next couple of weeks. As you know from our philosophy, the circus does not focus on performing, but rather on the kids being able to dress up and have a lot of fun pretending. Costumes do not need to be elaborate, just use your imagination. We will send home suggestions for things to wear with the notice of what your child has chosen. You will need to bring chairs to sit in and beverages to drink. We will provide popcorn for the family. There will also be face paints available at school before the circus if you want to paint your child’s face! And yes we do the circus rain or shine, so pray for SUN!
On Thursday and Friday ( the last day of school) we will be making popcorn and root beer floats to celebrate the year. Do not send a snack.
Text Box: Birds/Bears Kindergarten Friendship Day
On Friday May 28th we are going to combine the Birds and the Bears class for a fun day. The Pioneer Farm field trip has allowed the kids to meet some new friends from the other class, so we want to give them a chance to play together at Sparkleberry’s. Both classes will come in the morning ( 9:15 - 12:00). Send a snack as normal.
