Preschool & Pre-K Programs

Where school becomes play.

Our Programs

At Sparkleberrys Preschool, childhood is celebrated, curiosity is valued and every child is supported as they sparkle in their own unique way.

We offer five class options ranging from two to five days per week, as well as morning or afternoon options, to help you find the best fit for your little learner.

Our programs utilize gentle structure combined with a pressure-free, play-based curriculum that empowers students to grow and learn at a pace that’s right for them.

Class Offerings

SparkleBUGS

The Bugs class is an excellent introduction for the youngest of learners! Starting your child’s educational journey, and possibly their first time away from home, with a manageable two morning classes per week helps your child establish confidence and routine in a smaller classroom setting. This class is only for 3 and 4 year olds not attending Kindergarten the following school year.

SparkleBIRDS

The Birds class is a program designed for the first year preschool student or for those heading to kindergarten the following school year. The class meets three mornings per week. There is an option to attend all five days for some students. Please see the Birds 5 Day for more information.

BIRDS - 5 Day

Students enrolled in the five day option will have a primary enrollment in the SparkleBIRDS class. The additional two day add on allows for increased exposure to Pre-K routines, educational opportunities and more personalized instruction. This five day option is for Pre-K or second year students only.

SparkleBEARS

The Bears class is a program designed for the first year preschool student or for those heading to kindergarten the following year. Consecutive days and a slightly longer class day allows more time for play, learning and bonding.

BEARS - 2 Day

This class is like our morning Bugs class, with the difference of meeting in the afternoon and a slightly longer class day. It is an excellent introduction for the youngest of learners! Attending two times per week is a way to ease into your child’s educational journey, and a way to establish confidence and routine out of the home. This class is only for 3 and 4 year olds not attending Kindergarten the following school year.

The Power of Play

The research is clear: kids learn best through play. It’s their natural way of relating to their peers and discovering the world around them. Our programs are designed with this principle in mind.

When we embrace children’s natural curiosity and propensity for play, something wonderful happens: learning becomes fun and easy. Students become empowered to lead their own journey, and in the process discover skills to support them through a lifetime of learning: problem solving, independence, confidence, critical thinking, and more.

After arrival a typical school or camp day begins with movement activities such as dance, yoga and games. We then move in to Opening Circle for calendar, Star of the Day and to talk about our upcoming day. We have free play or guided small group play for the majority of our time. Finally transitioning to an all school clean up time, story and goodbye song. Each day can have a slight variation, however we typically follow the same routine each day. Kids are comforted by structure and knowing what to expect.

In all classes we maintain a 8:1 student:teacher ratio. This means in smaller classes we may have two teachers and in others, three. There is always a minimum of two teachers in each class.
